This spacious, veteran-owned home sleeps 10 (11 including futon) and is conveniently located in a gated community within the Shanty Creek resort. Walking distance to professional golf courses, indoor and outdoor pools. A short drive to the private beach club on Lake Bellaire, skiing/snowboarding on Schuss Mountain, and great drinking and dining in downtown Bellaire, including the renowned Short’s Brewery. Close to Torch Lake, Traverse City, Petoskey, Boyne, and Charlevoix. This home is perfect for multi-family or group stays. Our lodge offers three levels of private sleeping areas, each with their own full bath. All guests can gather in the inviting and open kitchen, dining, and living room on the main level. Play our vintage arcade games, each with multiple retro classics. Or take advantage of the spacious two-story deck just off the living room where you can eat, drink, relax, and unwind in the gorgeous Northern Michigan woods.

Wire transfers are not permitted - Cats are not permitted - No parties allowed - Quiet hours between 11PM and 8AM EST/EDT - Only those guests confirmed on your booking reservation are allowed on the property as well as access to shared amenities - A maximum of 4 vehicles are permitted in the designated parking space on the property - Parking on the side of the road is strictly prohibited. Any vehicle parked on the road will be towed at the vehicle owner's expense - No Smoking/Vaping inside the house. Smoking is permitted outside in the designated smoking area - Home is on septic, so we ask that only toilet paper be disposed of in toilets - Report any damage immediately to host

The Tree Top Lodge was indeed a peaceful retreat. We loved our time at the home and can’t wait to visit again. Dan was very responsive when we reached out ahead of the trip, he was flexible, and the home was overall wonderful. The guidebook and recommendations were fantastic and the activities / access including swimming pools, beach club and golf courses were a ton of fun! Thanks for hosting us and we’d highly recommend a visit to their beautiful home!

We had a great stay. House is on three levels so it offers a lot of privacy. Having three showers on three different floors is great for big groups. There are a LOT of steps at this house - we are all in good shape so it wasn't an issue but that is something to consider. We had so much snow we had to shovel constantly both steps and driveway. Thankfully owner provided shovels and ice melt. The house is great and even had a pancake griddle! Driveway is very steep and was difficult for the one family that didn't have four wheel/AWD drive to get up. That is another thing to keep in mind during winter months - this was an epic year for snow! Schuss has had 156 inches and counting! Great house - great location - great amenities - great host. Thanks for the memories!

Loved our stay here! Felt like it had an 80's ski lodge vibe which I totally loved. My girlfriend and I love Bellaire and this place made it that much more enjoyable. I feel the only thing that would make this place an over the top spot would be a hot tub on the lower deck to relax in while you enjoy the beautiful scenery. Thanks for hosting us. - Lenny & Steph

It's a great place for a short weekend with a large group. We booked Dan's place at the last minute and it had just enough space for our large family. Plenty of beds allowed everyone to sleep comfortably and have their own space. Dan provided a list of great recommendations nearby and we utilized the private access beach and nearby pool which were both spectacular. Dan was also very responsive and great to book with. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: This place isn't the most baby-proof, if traveling with little ones bring a few baby gates and a travel playpen. Aside from that it's a great place for everyone!

Great family vacation space! House felt like a home away from home. Enough space for everyone to do their own thing but then also spend great bonding time together. Close to attractions like pool, movie theater, lakes, pontoon rentals, and bars. Fun for the whole family! House is very clean and great communication with host. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Bellaire, Michigan!

Perfect up north getaway! We came to hang out with family and friends, and Dan’s place was the perfect home base for our skiing adventures. Very close to the Shanty Creek Summit Village, and a short 5-7 min drive from the Schuss base area. House is perfect for 1-2 families staying together, plenty of room to stretch out. Kitchen was fully stocked with essentials, which made making family meals a breeze. Thanks, Dan, for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back someday!

We absolutely loved our stay at Tree Top Lodge and wished we could have stayed longer! We booked another Airbnb for the weekend and unfortunately due to things beyond our host’s control, we had to leave early and scramble to find a new place last minute. We found Dan’s place and he was so helpful and responded within minutes and even offered to let us check out later and checked in earlier than the posted times because we were only staying one night. The location was great and the house had everything we needed! We’ll definitely be back!

Place was great. It accommodated 8 of us easily. Dan and Christina were wonderful, and always replied to us quickly with answers for us. Actually made me feel like I've met them before. A great time was had by all. Will definitely come back in the future.
